Painting Ladder Safety

June is National Safety Month and the American Ladder Institute (ALI) is encouraging all companies and workers who use ladders to learn about proper ladder practices.

It is a good time for painters and painting contractors to review ladder safety. Ali’s free on line training is available in both English and Spanish at www.laddersafetytraining.org.

Along with learning about proper ladder use, is having the most up to date equipment to keep your workers safe.

Big Boy Ind. has a new product called the Buddy System which allows a painter a hands free solution to climb a ladder with a   paint bucket held safely in a carrier worn on his side.

It also has a magnet that holds the paint brush, freeing up both hands to climb safely up and down the ladder.
